It’s with great enthusiasm that he shares this most recent production “Going Places” showing a sense of liveliness inspired by his travels around the world. Recently retired after teaching Fine Arts for 30 years, he finds inspiration through his travels around the word where visual and cultural appeal stimulate his creative mind. The travel opportunities allow him to capture many images with his camera before painting the most captivating images in his studio.
His contemporary figurative style continues to be the main essence of his production. This new series of oil paintings combines his love of photography, strong colours and cultural flavours from around the world. Pierre’s unique visual perspective and colour palette have always been present in his creations. Although he has been focusing mainly on oil painting for the last 15 years, he has worked in a variety of disciplines including photography, ceramics, graphic design, animation, airbrushing on fabric, sculptures, and artistic furniture.
